Privacy policy

Shape Escape is published by Tapmallow Games. This policy explains how information is handled when you play our game.

01Information handled by the game

Shape Escape does not require a game account. It saves puzzle progress, remaining arrows, lives, completed levels, theme unlocks, Grid helper unlocks, sound and vibration preferences on your device. Game-owned code does not upload this progress to a custom server. The game has no chat or player-content upload feature.

If purchases are enabled in your installed version, signed purchase receipt proofs are saved locally to check and restore No Ads access, including offline use. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide so we can respond.

02Advertising

Shape Escape uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for a bottom gameplay banner, advertisements at completed-level breaks, and optional rewarded videos for Hint or Grid helpers. Closed-test releases may use Google demonstration advertisements. Test advertisements do not generate advertising revenue, but SDK network and diagnostic requests may still occur.

Google Mobile Ads can collect and share IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them; device and account identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID; interactions such as app launches, taps and video views; and diagnostic information about app and SDK performance. These are used for ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Data handling and advertising-ID use depend on configuration, applicable protections and your choices. The game does not request precise device-location permission.

03Privacy choices and consent

The game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to check consent requirements before eligible ad initialization and requests. Where a privacy message is required and available, it is shown through that service. Privacy choices appears in the main menu when the service requires an entry point, allowing you to review or change your choices. If consent requirements cannot be met, advertisements may be unavailable; you can still play the puzzles.

You can manage or delete your Android advertising ID using your device privacy settings, where supported. The current game applies conservative child or unknown-age advertising restrictions and requests contextual advertisements. These restrictions may limit available ads.

04Rewarded videos and purchases

Rewarded videos are optional. A completed eligible video provides the Hint or Grid reward described before the video. Closing or failing a video without earning the reward grants nothing. Puzzles remain solvable without a rewarded advertisement.

When purchases are available, No Ads is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Google Play through Unity In-App Purchasing. It removes banner and level-break advertisements; voluntarily requested Hint and Grid videos remain available. The game uses signed purchase records to grant, restore and check access and does not receive payment-card or bank-account details. Purchases may be unavailable in early test releases.

When initialized, Unity In-App Purchasing may process purchase history, user and device identifiers, network-derived approximate location, diagnostic or performance information, and service information, including email information where applicable to its services. Provider disclosures explain which data apply to a service and configuration.

05Service providers and sharing

Advertising information is processed by Google and its advertising partners. Google Play processes purchases, and Unity provides the in-app purchase integration where enabled. Service providers may process information outside your country under their own policies. We do not operate a game account or a custom advertising-profile server.

Information you provide directly to Tapmallow Games is used to respond to your request and may be disclosed when required by law. Provider privacy information is linked below.

06Storage, retention and deletion

Local game records remain until removed. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling removes local progress and preferences, although Android backup may preserve or restore app data depending on your device settings. These actions do not refund or cancel a Google Play purchase or delete records held by service providers.

Google and Unity retain service records according to their policies. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. You may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you supplied directly to us. Rights available to you may depend on your location. We cannot promise to delete service-provider records that we do not control.

07Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information under our control. Google states that data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit, and Unity states the same for Unity IAP service data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

08Audience and children’s privacy

Shape Escape is a nonviolent puzzle game for a broad audience. It does not require an account or ask players for their name, address or date of birth. The current advertising configuration applies conservative child or unknown-age restrictions to users. Service providers may still handle permitted information as described above.

Parents and guardians can contact Tapmallow Games with questions. If you believe a child provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game, service configuration or data practices change. Updates appear on this page with a revised date.
